Learnership Purpose
This learnership provides a structured work-based learning programme for unemployed youth. The purpose is to develop your potential, impart theoretical knowledge, and provide practical experience within a leading health business, creating a pathway to future employment in the medical aid and insurance sector.
Qualification: Upon successful completion, you will earn an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor (NQF Level 5), SAQA ID 105030.
Key Responsibilities
As a Contact Centre Learner, you will be expected to:
Learning & Development Commitment
- Attend all classroom-based learning sessions and practical on-the-job training activities.
- Complete a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) and work-based learning logbooks for submission to the SETA.
- Pass all formative and summative assessments and the required EISA exam.
Operational Training & Service
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate skills in using company systems and understanding operational processes.
- Conduct all duties in line with the learnership programme and Momentum Metropolitan requirements.
Professional Conduct
- Conduct yourself as a representative of Momentum Metropolitan, displaying the company’s values at all times.
- Provide client-centric service and support during training activities.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this learnership, candidates must meet all the following:
- Be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 30 years.
- Be unemployed and able to commit to the full 12-month programme.
- Have a completed Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with the following marks:
- Mathematics (40%) or Mathematical Literacy (60% minimum).
- English (50% minimum) and one other South African language (50% minimum).
- Be available from 01 February 2026 to 31 January 2027.
- Be able to commute to the workplace in Centurion independently.
- Not be studying (part-time or full-time) at a tertiary level during the learnership.
- Not have completed the same Health Care Benefits Advisor Learnership previously.
